What we know — and what we don’t

We use public sources, and we show where each piece of information came from. When something cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than filling the gap.

A report is a starting point, not a verdict. The condition of a building, and what a street is like to live on, are things only a visit can tell you.

What it costs

One report, one address. No subscription, and nothing recurring.

Where we can look

A report can be written for any address in Japan.

Some records are published by each municipality in its own way, so how much a report can settle varies from town to town. Where a record is not available to us, the report says so and names the office to ask.

If you later want someone to go and look at a place in person, we currently do that in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Kyoto, Nara, and the northern part of Okinawa Island (Nago and above).
